Supporting Washington’s Children and the Pediatricians Who Serve Them
As we approach the end of the year, many of us take time to reflect on what truly matters: family, community, and the well-being of the people we care about. At the Washington Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics (WCAAP), these values guide our work all year long. Every program we build, every partnership we strengthen, and every advocacy effort we take on is centered on one simple goal: helping Washington’s children grow up healthier, safer, and supported.
This season, we invite you to celebrate the progress our community has made and to join us in continuing this important work in the coming year.
The impact of your generosity
Your time, dedication and donations to the chapter have helped us move the needle for children, teens and families throughout the year:
• Advocating for children’s health in Olympia
WCAAP members promote policies that support mental health care, expand access to essential vaccines, strengthen early learning opportunities, and protect children from preventable harm. Your support helps ensure that the voices of pediatric health experts are heard where decisions are being made.
• Supporting providers on the front lines
WCAAP offers clinical education, behavioral health resources, and community partnerships that help primary care providers deliver high-quality, family-centered care across Washington.
• Building healthier communities
Through collaboration with schools, public health agencies, and local organizations, WCAAP works to make sure children and families have access to the resources they need for both immediate and long-term well-being.
• Centering equity in all we do
We remain committed to reducing disparities so that every child, regardless of background, can grow up with the health and support they deserve.
This work is made possible by people like you: pediatricians, partners, families, and supporters who believe that the health of children should always come first.
During this season of gratitude and generosity, we invite you to consider making a contribution to support the mission of WCAAP.
Your gift helps us:
• Advocate for strong, child-centered public policy
• Provide education and resources for pediatric care teams
• Strengthen mental and behavioral health support for families
• Promote access to equitable, high-quality care throughout the state
When you give to WCAAP, you are helping to build a healthier future for Washington’s children.
Your Support Makes a Difference
As you gather with family and friends this holiday season, we hope you feel proud to be part of a community that puts children first. Together, we have already made great progress. With your support, we can do even more in the year ahead.
If you are able, please consider making a tax-deductible donation today. Your generosity helps us continue the advocacy, training, and community support that children and pediatric providers rely on.
From all of us at WCAAP, we wish you warmth, joy, and connection this holiday season. Thank you for your continued support.
