Did you know April 7, 2023 is World Health Day marking the 75th anniversary of the founding of the World Health Organization (WHO)? In honor of this important day, let’s prevent HPV-related cancers by making a strong recommendation for HPV vaccine: “Yes! I recommend the HPV vaccine for cancer prevention – this vaccine prevents over 30,000 cases of cancer every year.” Start recommending HPV vaccine at age 9 per new guidance by Washington State Department of Health as of Jan 20, 2023.
