Who should attend the meeting? Anyone with an interest in keeping communities safe, educated and informed about firearm tragedy prevention. We encourage individuals, community organizations, businesses, government leaders, public health professionals, law enforcement and first responders, social services, educators, firearm advocates, parents, mental health and healthcare providers and community leaders to attend Network meetings.

What does the Network do? Network activities include the opportunity to bring people, organizations and resources together in a NON-POLITICAL way to learn, network, share information and resources and identify areas of opportunity to work together as it relates to firearm tragedy prevention. Topics addressed at meetings may include but are not limited to suicide prevention, violence prevention and response, injury prevention, safe firearm storage, community programming/tools/resources/education and research. Network meetings take place twice per year in various locations around Washington.

Network Activities & Objectives:
– Share and report-out on what you/your organization is doing, including tools and resources
– Share research, evaluation and best practices
– Learn from each other
– Build partnerships
– Identify areas of opportunity to collaborate
– Educate children, youth, families and adults about preventing firearm tragedies
– Use a public health approach to prevent firearm tragedies
