WCAAP Trustee Nicole Castonguay, MD, FAAP grew up in Woodstock, Vermont. After completing her undergraduate education at Yale University, Dr. Castonguay attended medical school at Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia and did her residency at Crozer-Chester Medical Center in nearby Chester, Penn.
Dr. Castonguay has been a general pediatrician at The Vancouver Clinic in Vancouver, Wash. for the past 6 years. In addition to her work as a primary care pediatrician, she co-coordinates the clinic’s Reach Out and Read program, and occasionally volunteers at the Free Clinic of Southwest Washington. Dr. Castonguay serves as the WCAAP Legislative Committee Chair, which allows her to pursue her interest in addressing health disparities and ensuring all children get the best start in life.
When she’s not caring for or advocating on behalf of children, Dr. Castonguay is an avid rock climber, taking her hobby on the road with climbing trips to Switzerland, Mexico, and destinations throughout the U.S. Next time you see her, ask her to share a corny joke – she has an impressive repertoire!
