The Washington Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics convened a workgroup of our members charged with creating meaningful tools and resources to affirm and uplift the communities we serve. The products include a 4-part webinar series and an equitable care toolkit that includes the learning tool below. We hope you will interact and engage with these tools that focus and challenge the work we do as pediatric providers, transforming it through a lens of anti-racism and equity, diversity, and inclusion.

Striving to Provide Safe, High-Quality Care: Learning from Experience
In order to provide safe, high-quality care, we must continually educate ourselves about the evolving needs of our patients – the learning journey is lifelong. We have created a dynamic resource of board-style questions that build awareness and competence in caring for diverse pediatric patients and promote skills in reducing health disparities in one’s clinical practice. Click on the links below for examples provided by our WCAAP community.
Share your knowledge, all authors and reviewers encouraged!
We want to make sure every person involved in pediatric care in Washington is represented. Patients, parents, medical staff, non-clinical staff – all are encouraged to share their stories so we can all learn. Please send your case, responses, and references to email@example.com. Or, if you would like to participate as a case reviewer, please contact:
