February 10 @ 7:00 am – 7:30 am
WCAAP and the Washington State Nurses Association (WSNA) have partnered to bring CDC’s Project Firstline infection prevention curriculum to Washington State medical providers who care for children.
This Wednesday 2/10
This Wednesday’s webinar will cover masking & safe vaccine administration. We will start with COVID-19 and variants, talk about the need for continued vigilance and care to avoid transmission, and discuss masks both within our clinics and out and about in the community. Next, we’ll talk about COVID-19 vaccine administration, including:
- Safe vaccine practices for providers & health care staff
- Standard precautions for staff administering vaccines
- Hand hygiene, use of multi-dose vaccine vials, and safe sharps practices.
Finally, we’ll give a quick preview our upcoming 2/24 webinar on COVID-19 vaccine with Drs. Ed Marcuse and John Dunn, which will last one full hour instead of our usual 30 minutes (7:00-8:00AM)
Please join us! This project is open to all who are involved in caring for kids – physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, MAs.
