Pediatric Health Equity Summit 2025

On May 17, 2025 WCAAP’s Equitable Care Committee hosted the inaugural health equity summit in Auburn, WA. Themed Activate Your Agency, this was an incredible opportunity for pediatric health care providers, school nurses and partners, parents, caregivers and community partners from across the state to network, share resources and discuss the intersection of equity and anti-racism with health, education, and social-emotional learning.

At the Summit, participants learned to:

  • Understand how under-resourced and marginalized communities are disproportionately left behind in systems of care. 
  • How to be an agent for change through community organizing and activism.
  • Identify strategies and language to advocate for equitable care within their organizations in the present-day fiscal environment.
  • Find inspiration to pragmatically implement tangible change within their own sphere of influence.
  • Build community with others caring for children in different sectors.
